Why are we obsessed?

It's a law of nature that what is repressed will be obsessed.

For example a society or country respresed of money will become obsessed in becoming rich or a society repressed of power obsessed to come in power.

Similarly if sex in society is repressed then the society becomes obsessed with sex and hence an increase in rapes and sexual violence.

The solution to these is to accept them as natural for example in a lot of religions sex is demeaned and resulting a sexual shame, hence difficulty in accepting sex as natural!

Also some known as, what resists will persists, hence through acceptance you can remove the resistance!

But every natural thing has to be provided to individual hence continuos denial creates an obsession in individuals mind!

Going back to childhood, you can easily track back the current obsession with the denial of it for example doing things to get attention, doing things to get validation, striving to get a secure future, working for money or power or sex!
